Each year, in the fall, we seem to have a male Allen's Hummingbird visit the garden on a regular basis. In late September, he is clearly molting. By late November or early December his feathers have fully rejuvenated and he's as handsome as ever. When he's bright red and white is when he seems to turn into a Santa Impersonator.
